This is an old cookbook I stole in my BF’s house. He said it was his mother’s cookbook because his mom loves to cook and sometimes cooks for special occasion order. I love to learn how to cook delicious food and baking too, but I’m too lazy to cook even for myself. from time to time if I’m bored and angry I just scan this cookbook and look for recipes that is simple and has less ingredients to use. I don’t want to go to the mall just to buy ingredients right? And this cookbooks contains foods that are good for the body meaning it only serves healthy food.

As a daughter who loves and value our parents so much giving them gift is very important. When the time my father retire, me and my other sibling send a retirement gift for him. My brother give him a watch and we bought him vedioke set. It’s useful to him becuase he loves to collect watch and loves to sing. A simple gift or gesture would be great to them, what’s important is that they will appreciate and be happy with all the gift and love that we give, aside from the retirement benefits given to them from the company they work.

For many years of hard work and all the emotional stress our parents put through just to have that retirement benefits that’s really meant for them is not that easy. For all the years they endure working late so that when the time comes that they’re going to retire they would not be a burden to their family and that they will have their own source of income to survive. The financial stability is very hard to accomplish especially now that looking for a stable job is hard to accomplish with all the new graduates and many unemployed people in the country. How much more for our parents who are already old and that need rest working for many years just to keep the family stable in financial needs.

Chocolate cake is a cake flavored with melted chocolate or cocoa powder. I don’t have favorite fruits of motto in life but one thing for sure, I really really love eating chocolate cake. Chocolate cake is one of the main reason why I wanted to study baking because i want to learn how to bake this mouth melting, sinfully chocolate cake. I bought this by the way in the store near the ones selling pirated DVD’s. Its a new open store aside form selling sweets like this chocolate cakes and other delicious kind of cakes. Outside the store was were they put the siomai stand, popular in Tisa labangon cebu city. When my sister and I still lived near that place we always visit and eat in there. Now, their siomai are selling in the same store I bought the chocolate cake. How awesome right?

Chocolate cake is made with chocolate; it can be made with other ingredients, as well. These ingredients include fudge, vanilla creme, and other sweeteners. The history of chocolate cake goes back to 1764, when Dr. James Baker discovered how to make chocolate by grinding cocoa beans between two massive circular millstones.

In 1828, Conrad Van Houten of the Netherlands developed a mechanical extraction method for extracting the fat from cacao liquor resulting in cacao butter and the partly defatted cacao, a compacted mass of solids that could be sold as it was “rock cacao” or ground into powder. The processes transformed chocolate from an exclusive luxury to an inexpensive daily snack. A process for making silkier and smoother chocolate called conching was developed in 1879 by Swiss Rodolphe and made it easier to bake with chocolate as it amalgamates smoothly and completely with cake batters. Until 1890 to 1900, chocolate recipes were mostly for drinks.

The Duff Company of Pittsburgh, a molasses manufacturer, introduced Devil’s food chocolate cake mixes in the mid 1930s, but introduction was put on hold during World War II. Duncan Hines introduced a “Three Star Special” (so called because a white, yellow or chocolate cake could be made from the same mix) was introduced three years after cake mixes from General Mills and Duncan Hines, and took over 48 percent of the market.

In the U.S., “chocolate decadence” cakes were popular in the 1980s; in the 1990s, single-serving molten chocolate cakes with liquid chocolate centers and infused chocolates with exotic flavors such as tea, curry, red pepper, passion fruit, and champagne” were popular. Chocolate lounges and artisinal chocolate makers were popular in the 2000s. Rich, flourless, all-but-flourless chocolate cakes are now standard in the modern pâtisserie,” according to The New Taste of Chocolate.[2]

Everybody wants to have that perfect and comfortable and homey home to rest after the tiring day at work. We want to relax and rest for a few minutes or hours before we finish some bring home works or play with the kids and have quality time with the husband or wife. Everybody deserves a break once in a while and what could be perfect if we just seat and relax to our comfortable and classic log furniture at home. Not only it adds classic and nature like to the house, but it’s easy on the eyes and its has that nature smell around us. If we have that kind of luxury and peaceful feeling at home I would always be looking forward in going home after my tiring day outside.

This was 2010 or 2011 photos, I not really sure but this day was one of the best day ever, why? Well because my sister pay my brother and give him her ipod speaker. She wanted to visit the place of our childhood moments and my brother is the only one close to us that has a car. Instead of traveling by jeep and transfer to another jeep and all that tiring stuff going to our beloved camp 14 bukidnun she bribe my brother to travel with us. Then she suggested to make a stop over at kitkai to buy food. And because I love pizza why not force her to buy pizza for that special trip. So, there it is, the two box of pizza my sister was holding was our food during that trip. I missed eating pizza already, if I have extra money I always dine-in in a pizza store even if the service sometimes sucks and lousy. For the love of pizza I will endure waiting in vain just to eat that pizza, pizza frenzy food.
